Ms. Shanice Bell
Ms. Shanice Bell is a native of Greenville, Mississippi. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Tougaloo College and a Master of Arts in Teaching Secondary Education from Jackson State University.
She began her career as a 7th Grade English Language Arts teacher at Smilow Prep, where she made a measurable impact on student achievement and literacy development. Her classroom was a space of growth, encouragement, and high expectations. Shanice later joined Jackson Public Schools, serving at JPS- Tougaloo Early College High School Program in multiple leadership roles, including 9th Grade Freshman Seminar Teacher, Intervention Specialist, School Test Administrator, College Liaison, Afterschool Coordinator, 504 and IEP Coordinator, and Special Programs Coordinator. These roles reflect her strong foundation in both teaching and administration, as well as her deep commitment to student success and academic equity.
Shanice’s philosophy of education is rooted in the belief that all students can learn, grow, and succeed when given the right support, encouragement, and challenges. She believes education begins not simply with instruction, but with inspiration and motivation fostered in both teachers and students to unlock their full potential. Shanice has devoted her time in education to supporting students through equitable, teaching and learning.
